Jerome Butler

Jerome Alan Butler 65, of Kirksville passed away Saturday night (March 13, 2010) at his home.
The son of Ralph and Ola Fern (Overton) Butler, he was born on February 20, 1945 at Unionville, Missouri. On June 6, 1965 at Queen City he was united in marriage to Madelon Wright who survives. Also surviving are, his mother of Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, one son, Jay Butler of Kirksville, a sister, Dr. Jana Lee and husband Rex of Kirksville and a brother, Jim Berry and wife Gail of Glenwood, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Butler, his step father, Wallace Berry and a daughter, Jill Butler.
Jerome grew up in Putnam County, attended grade school in Worthington and graduated from Queen City High School with the class of 1963. He attended and received a B.S. in Industrial Arts from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He taught Auto Body at the Kirksville Area Vo-Tech for eighteen years.
He was a member of the Kirksville First Baptist Church and had been attending the Church of Faith in Lancaster for the past few years.
At his request the body has been cremated and burial of the cremains will be at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri.
