Nellie Mae Sizemore

Nellie Mae Sizemore 74 of Novinger passed away Sunday (March 14, 2010) at her home.
She was born May 28, 1935 in Salem, Missouri, the daughter of Isaiah Kephart and Emma Kephart (Bowers) Risher. She and Jack Sizemore were united in September 1952. Nellie worked several years at the glove factory, local restaurants and the Florsheim shoe factory. After receiving her G.E.D. at age 54, she began many years service as a CNA, working in Missouri, Arizona, Iowa and Wyoming. After retiring she helped take care of neighbors, kids and anyone who needed help.
Nellie was a member of the Baptist church in Novinger. She devoted herself to her family and her greatest happiness was spending time with kids.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Jack Risher, son, Kenneth Lee, brother, Charles, step-sister, Sue, step-brothers, Paul and Floyd and several brother and sister-in-laws.
Survivors include her husband, Jack, one son, Mark (Tammy) Sizemore of Austin TX; daughters, Debbie Bramlett of Kirksville, Kim Western (Marty Morrow) of Kirksville, Tracy Gibson (Fred Whitson) of Higginsville, Karen Hoskins of Tennessee, Stephanie Neyens of LaPlata; one sister, Alice Claybrook of Kirksville; two step-brothers, Roy Risher of Kirksville and Marvin Risher of Novinger; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday (March 19, 2010) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Coonfield officiating. Burial will be in Morelock Cemetery in northwest Adair County.
Pall bearers will be Richard McKim, Ray Sizemore, Roger Sizemore, Marty Morrow, Zack
Western and Boyd March.
Visitation with the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
