Stacy Moore

Stacy Moore, 26, of Green City, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on Unionville, MO, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident earlier in the day.
Stacy Lynn Moore was born in Des Moines, IA, on August 10, 1983, the daughter of Glenn Moore and Mary Smith. She graduated from Winterset High School in Winterset, IA, in 2002. Stacy moved to Centerville, IA, where she worked at the Manhattan Restaurant and then to Ottumwa, IA, where she worked at K-Mart. Stacy returned to Centerville where she once again worked at the Manhattan before she and fiancée Ken Shumate moved to the state of Arizona. They moved to Green City, MO, and Stacy became manager of the Subway restaurant in Unionville, MO, in August of 2008.
Stacy had many interests and hobbies. She really enjoyed all things about the wolf, collecting figures and emblems, and participating in wolf sightings in Arizona. She also liked horseback riding, fishing, riding a four-wheeler and boating, especially on Lake Mojave. Stacy had an outgoing personality and was good with the public. She had a sincere interest in the welfare of others. She was a loving mother.
Stacy is survived by her father, Glenn Moore and his wife Connie of Des Moines, IA; her mother Kathy Smith of Bend, OR; and her fiancé, Ken Shumate of Green City, MO. Stacy’s surviving children are Steven Scott Shumate, Erin Elizabeth Fry, and Willow Alanna Shumate. Her step children are Jade X. Shumate, Brendon Alexander Paden, Kenneth W. Shumate, III, Malachi Armand Shumate, and Devin Ray Shumate. Stacy’s surviving siblings are brothers Chris Delude of Des Moines, IA, and Johnny Moore of Centerville, IA, and half-brother Joey Moore of Des Moines, IA, sister Renee Moore of Centerville, IA, and half-sisters July and Alicia Moore of the state of Missouri.
Graveside services for Stacy Moore will be at the Thompson Cemetery on Monday, March 29, 2010, at 2:30 pm. Public viewing will be from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm with the family present from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to the family and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th, Unionville, MO, 63565.
