Patricia Lynn Cornelison 48, of Kirksville passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The daughter of L. Keith and Delphine (Loughead) Pitt, Patricia was born August 17, 1961 in Unionville, MO. On December 30, 1979 in Pennville, MO she was united in marriage to Alan Cornelison who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Carrie Cornelison of Columbia, MO, Jessica Sipe and husband, Jesse of Columbia, MO, Jennifer Cornelison of Kirksville, Sara Cornelison of Kirksville and Emily Cornelison of Kirksville; two grandchildren, Katie Haage and John Thomas; one brother, John Pitt and wife, Elizabeth of Kirksville; three sisters, Beverley Johnson and husband, Henry of Eldon, MO, Virginia Potter and husband, Clyde of Baring, MO and Kay McDonald of Osage Beach, MO and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Keith Duane and Nichole Marie Cornelison.
Patricia was reared in Green City, MO where she attended school, graduating from the Green City High School with the Class of 1979. She attended Kirksville Area Technical Center and graduated in the nursing program, with honors as a LPN. She was employed at Twin Pines Adult Care Center for 10 years. Patricia loved needlepoint, spending time with her grandbabies and all of her family.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Virgil Jones officiating. Musical selections will be “Goodbye Is The Saddest Word”, “Sissy Song” and “Remember When”. Burial will be in the Burnett Cemetery in Pennville, MO.
Pallbearers will be John Wallace, Tony Robbins, Robert Wood, Brandon Elder, Jesse Sipe and Andre Swift. Honorary bearers will be Chris Sorenson, David Potter and Henry Johnson.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
