Priscilla Craig, 67, of Kirksville passed away Sunday, (May 16, 2010) at her home.
She was born July 25, 1942 in Adair County, the daughter of Charles and Jessie (Ellsworth) Stivers. On June 22, 1963 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to Carlos Craig who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Robert and William Stivers.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie Sheets and husband Richard of Kirksville; two granddaughters, Brandy Johnson and husband Henry of Eldon, MO and Cindy Craig of Adair County; one great-granddaughter, Mystical Rainn; two sisters, Judy Clark and husband Dave of Buffalo, IA and Jane Steigler and husband Paul of Georgia; mother-in-law, Hilda Harrelson of Kirksville; brother-in-law, John Harrelson of Kirksville; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Vice and Connie Holt of Kirksville and several nieces and nephews.
Priscilla received her education at the Hungry Hollow Rural School and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1960. She was employed at the International and Florsheim Shoe Companies for thirty-five years, Lambert Manufacturing for ten years, PSF for five years, and retired from Twin Pines.
She was a member of the Senior Circle and the First Liberty Full Gospel Church. Priscilla was a regular donor for the DAV and the March of Dimes. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Baker officiating. Special musical selections will be “Me and God”, “Long Black Train”, “Sissy’s Song”, and “Goodbye’s the Saddest Word”. Internment will be at the Ownbey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Henry Johnson, Toby Rouse, Brad Shrouf, Danny Reyes, Paul Thomas, and Richard Sheets. Honorary bearers will be Chris Walsh, Chris Johnson, Brian Walsh, Brad Penn, and Josh Harrelson.
There will be no public visitation.
