Donald Luther Graham

Donald Luther Graham, 77 of Kirksville went to be with his savior on Tuesday (May 25, 2010).
He was born June 18, 1932 in Bellfast, Iowa, the son of Luther (Luke) and Bessie (Clark) Graham. On December 25, 1952 he married Lillie Belle McDole and she preceded him in death on June 14, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Richard Graham, one sister, Sharon Dale Foutes, one brother in infancy, and a sister-in-law, Alta May Cunningham.
Donald is survived by his children, Cheryl Kaye Stewart and husband Harvey of Novinger, MO, Carol Faye Armstrong and husband Ralph of St. James, MO, Janice Vose of LaPlata, MO, Justin Graham of Kirksville, Lyndon Graham and wife Tammy of Kirksville, Lillian Hurley of Kirksville and Donald E. Graham of Kirksville; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Graham of LaPlata, MO; two sisters, Betty Knight and Alice Matlick both of Kirksville.
Donald grew up and attended school in LaPlata. He worked for the railroad before going into the service were he served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for McGraw Edison, the LaPlata School, drove at truck for many years for Belt Fur & Wool Co. in LaPlata, and worked construction. In his later years he did TV and CB radio repair and farmed.
He was a member Northeast Missouri CB Club and was a board member of the Eastern Rural Fire District. He attended the Assembly of God Church. He loved working on CB radios, gardening, fishing, hunting, playing baseball and had a team in 1978 – 79. He loved family get-together’s and had a great love for his wife and family.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (May 28, 2010) at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Amy Vose officiating. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Vose, Jason Garlock, Christopher Hurley, Colton Hurley, Derek Grgurich and David Stutsman.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
