Casper (Jay) K. Breuer
Casper K. Breuer, 74 of Kirksville passed away Monday (July 5, 2010) at his home.
The son of Casper Henry and Evelyn Emma (Roth) Breuer, he was born February 21, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. On July 8, 1972 in Brentwood, MO he was united in marriage to Linda Stampehl.
Jay is survived by his wife, Linda, one brother, David Breuer and wife Viola of Kirksville; one nephew, Tom Breuer and wife Kristen of Kirksville; great niece and nephew, Anna Mae and Keller Thomas Breuer of Kirksville and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jay grew up in the Spanish Lake area in St. Louis County and graduated from the Riverview Gardens High School in 1953. He worked two years in the landscaping field. He then began farming and in 1969 he and his brother purchased land east of Kirksville where he continued to farm until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. He loved to work on antique tractors.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (July 10, 2010) at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor David Lukefahr officiating. Entombment will be in Park View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
