Bobby Wayne Fairley, 57, of Unionville, Mo, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 1:15 p.m. at his home. The son of Victor Ray and Dorothy Fairley, he was born October 2, 1952 in Newtown, MO.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Betty Hrobsky, a nephew, Christopher Hrobsky, a niece, Cindy Hines, and brother-in-law, Steven Charles Pittman.

He enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17 while still in high school prior to being drafted so strong was his desire to serve his country as his father had. After graduation from Newtown-Harris High School, Bobby served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Special Forces for two years before returning to Newtown.

On July 19, 1974, he was united in marriage to Dawn Anne Pittman. To this union two children were born.

Bobby pursued many interests and occupations during his life, primarily as an own-operator of Fairley Trucking. He was a life-time active member of ABATE, an excellent carpenter, could tear apart and put back together any machine and was generous to a fault.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Anne Fairley, D.O., son, Jeremy Fairley, and wife, Audrey, of Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter, Danielle, and husband, Tim Regan of San Tan Valley, Arizona. One grandchild, Lauren Regan, a brother, Bennie Fairley, his wife and son, Christy and Romeo of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, two sisters, Beverly Tolle, and her husband, Bob Tolle, of Milan, her son and daughter, Dale & Penny, and Becky Hansen, her husband, George, and son and daughter, Donnie and Aleatha of La Plata, MO. He is also survived by his in-laws (and second parents) Charles and Alice Pittman, sister-in-law, Dayna Christopher and her partner, Patricia Landreth, brother-in-law, Patrick Pittman his daughter, Kaitlyn and his two sons, Dillon and Jude, who will miss his "Muncle Bob" tremendously. Bobby is also survived by a nephew, Jason Hbrosky. Mary Duncan Beyene a special family friend and daughter also survives him.

The body was cremated. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 17 from 6-8 p.m. and a memorial service to celebrate Bobby's life follows on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home located at 709 S. 27th Street, Unionville, MO.

Contributions in Bob's memory are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri and can be entrusted to Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home.
