Maurice Lee Laubscher, son of the late George Leo and Una Dee (Goodwin) Laubscher, died in Amberwood Court Care Center, Denver, Colorado on July 31, 2010 at the age of 77.
Maurice was born on the family farm located five miles east of Baring, Missouri on December 13, 1932. His early childhood education was in the rural one-room Rule School, Edina, Missouri, and he graduated Baring High School, Baring, Missouri, with the Class of 1950. As a young man he was baptized in the Christian Church, Edina, Missouri.
After high school graduation he worked at the Cornelius Implement Company, Edina, Missouri, and Rose Hardware, Memphis, Missouri, before being drafted into the United States Army in March 1953 during the Korean War. Upon discharge from the United States Army as a Corporal in March 1955, he attended Gem City Business College, Quincy, Illinois, and graduated from their Stenographic Department in January 1956. He later received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver and was a licensed CPA. For most of his adult life he lived in Colorado.
He is survived by a sister, Emma Louise, and husband James J. Boston, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a nephew, Michael Craig Boston, of Washington, DC; and many cousins.
Maurice will be cremated and no service will be held. His ashes will be interred in Maple Hills Cemetery next to his parents.
