Bridget Rose Kurz
Bridget Rose Kurz, age 24 of St Louis, Missouri formerly of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Thursday (August 19, 2010) at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri as the result of an auto accident.
Bridget was born on May 5, 1986 in Springfield, Missouri the daughter of Albert and Margie (Brower) Kurz. She is survived by her parents, Albert and Margie Kurz of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Alex Kurz and special friend Tana Stone of Thomasville, GA; two sisters, Mindy Kurz and fiancée Eric Caldwell of Kirksville, MO, Heidi Kurz and fiancée Cody Filz of Novinger, MO; special friend, Drew Luman of Novinger, MO; grandparents, Loraine Brower of Montgomery City, MO, Albert and Beta Kurz of Lonoke, AR; nephews, Noah Higgins, Pryce Filz, Preston Filz; nieces, Isabella Caldwell, Natalie Filz; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Bridget was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Brower great grandmother, Irene Gentry and cousin, JT Henley.
Bridget moved to Kirksville with her parents and attended Kirksville schools and graduated from Kirksville Senior High School in the class of 2004. She attended Barnes Jewish School of Nursing and graduated with her BSN with the class of 2008. She was employed as a nurse at the St. Louis Children Hospital. She was a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Trinity 4H, K life, Dance Team, and the National Honor Society. She enjoyed her nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. She loved to dance and was always dancing even around the house. She lived life to the fullest spending time with family and friends. She loved her job as a nurse at children hospital and all of the children whose lives she touched.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday (August 23, 2010) at the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Christopher Cordes officiating. Interment will be in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Berni Kurz, Eric Key, Ryan Brower, Keegan Brower, Matt Brower and Colton Scott.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday (August 22, 2010) with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
Memorials are suggested to the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church or the St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
