Michael Ray McAlster
Michael Ray McAlster, 57 of Kirksville passed away Monday (October 4, 2010) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Teddy and Leantha Arleene (Dunham) McAlster, he was born February 14, 1953 in Edina, Missouri. On June 26, 1993 in Kirksville he married Barbara DeVolld.
Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Tyson McAlster of Davenport, IA; three daughters, Amber McAlster, MacKenzie McAlster and Sarah McAlster all of Kirksville; one grandchild, Alyssa; two sisters, Sharon Hatter and husband Richard of Kirksville and Patty Shultz and husband Paul of Greentop, MO and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Michael attended the Baring and Kirksville schools, graduating from the Kirksville High School in 1971. He worked at Northeast Regional Medical Center for 22 years. He then went to work at the Kirksville R-III schools where he has worked for 12 years.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Kirksville. He was a loving husband and father.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (October 9, 2010) at Park View Memorial Gardens with Pastor Robert Price officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
