Judith Lynn Devlin 67 of Kirksville passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Charles and Zella Guinn, she was born July 5, 1943 in Olney, Illinois.
A graduate of the Flora Community High School class of 1961, Judith worked as a bookkeeper for General Motors dealerships in Flora, Illinois and Benton, Kentucky. She was married to Leon Devlin on June 6, 1965 in Flora, Illinois. After marrying and starting her family, she moved to Kirksville in 1971. Judith was a full-time homemaker until taking a position with the Northeast Missouri Teachers’ Credit Union in 1978 where she worked part time until retiring as the branch manager in April 2002. Living most of her life in Kirksville, Judith was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Kirksville. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and caring for her family.
She is survived by her mother, Zella Guinn of Washington, IN; her husband, Leon Devlin, of Kirksville; her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Paul Stuart of Kirksville; her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Colleen Devlin of Pella, IA; her five grandchildren, Charles Stuart, Maxwell Stuart, Sophie Stuart, Rebecca Devlin and Connor Devlin as well as her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Brenda Guinn of Washington, IN and Vernon and Yvonne Guinn of Flora, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Guinn of Washington, IN.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (November 20, 2010) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Marty Joplin officiating. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday (November 19, 2010) at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
