Ann Crawford Woodard (“Annie”),83, passed away on June 5, 2021, at her residence at Morningstar at Jordan Creek in West Des Moines, Iowa, where she lived the past three years.

Annie was born September 15, 1937, in Kahoka, Missouri, daughter of Valee Timmons Neagle and Richard Leroy Crawford. She moved to Des Moines in eighth grade where she attended Warren Junior High and North High School, graduating in 1955, and completed two years of college study in business administration at the University of Iowa in Des Moines. Annie’s favorite childhood memories were of summers spent in Livonia, MO, with her beloved uncle, Rollie Timmons.

Annie was an employee of American Airlines for 20+ years, working very early in commercial air travel as a flight attendant, and then as hostess and in general management at the American Airlines Admirals Clubs in Boston and New York, and customer service in Chicago and Denver. Annie was an enthusiastic supporter and member of the Kiwi Club, a sorority of pioneer stewardesses. Her passion for skiing was legendary and she was affectionately nicknamed “Aspen Annie.” Annie also enjoyed golf, shopping, and travel. She was married for 25 years to Dr. Don Woodard of Denver and enjoyed family and friends in Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado, particularly her granddaughters by marriage; Jessica and Andrea Carney and Becca Sayre.

Private services and internment were held at St. John Cemetery in Livonia, MO on Monday, June 7th, 2021. Memorials are suggested to the St. John Cemetery or Kindred Hospice and may be entrusted with Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th , Unionville, MO 63565.
