Arthur Bruce Collins, 85 passed away Friday (March 9, 2018) at Schuyler County Nursing Home.
He was born April 2, 1932 in Putnam County, son of Milo Collins and Mildred (Sparks) Collins Kane. On November 10, 1951 he married Ida Paris and for 66 years always wanted to go home and eat “Ida’s cooking”.
Bruce has three siblings, Janet Fitzgerald, Perry Kane, and Pam Conklin. He leaves, with loving memories, two daughters, Sherry Bratton and Maureen Slaughter and grandchildren, Tina, Michael, Melani, Scott, Sara, Dakota, Jesse, Colby, Gabriel, Caleb, Julian, Elliott, Lucas, Cyle, Abigail, Chandler, Josie, Milo, Gavin, Olivia, Kohyn, Connor, and Nevaeh and has gone to join grandson, Matthew in heaven.
He enjoyed farming, and talking farming, all his life. He was a faithful member of Worthington Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
Funeral service will be held at Dooley Funeral Home on Monday March 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roger Bushnell and Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Jimtown Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Michael Bratton, Chris Sevits, Scott Bratton, Marc Smith, Dakota Bratton and Jesse Miller.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO 63561
