Bambi Fox

Bambi Fox, 53 of Hurdland, MO passed away Saturday (October 7, 2017) at her mother’s home.

The daughter of Harry Paul and Bonnie F. (Rummerfield) Laird, she was born December 4, 1963 in Kirksville, MO. On July 30, 1982 in Kirksville, she was united in marriage to Gary Lee Fox.

Bambi is survived by her mother, Bonnie Bennett and Papa, Bill Bennett of Hurdland, MO; one sister, Paula Clarkson and husband Doug of LaPlata, MO; one brother, Charles “Chuck” Raymond Laird and wife Michele of Coos Bay, OR; a grandmother, Mary Maye Bennett of Kirksville; nieces and nephews, Danny and Laura Clarkson, Ashely and Andrew Haer, Joe Clarkson, Kelsey Laird and Kristen Laird; five great nephews; one great nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.

Bambi attended school in Kirksville to the 8th grade and then attended school in North Bend, OR and American Falls, ID. She returned to Kirksville where she was married to Gary Fox and they ran an upholstery shop in Kirksville. She moved and lived in New Port News, VA, Raleigh, NC, Keizer, OR and Toledo, OR. She worked as an assistant manager for Rite Aid in New Port News. She returned to the Kirksville area and worked as the produce manager for C&R Market in LaPlata.

She loved to fish, hayrides, country music, animals, the outdoors and caring for the elderly and little ones. She enjoyed playing base guitar in a band in the 1980’s.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (October 14, 2107) at Bonnie Bennett’s Home at 36103 Aspen Lane, Hurdland, MO with Chaplain Paul Milliken officiating. There will be a meal following the service and everyone is welcome to attended.
