Bernice Vice, 95 of Kirksville passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Kirksville Manor Care.
The daughter of William “Bill” D. and Carrie Opal (Watson) Hull, she was born December 2, 1924 in rural Knox County, Missouri. On June 1, 1946 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to George Leroy “Roy” Vice and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Larry Carden.
Bernice is survived by her children, Darlene Withrow and husband Ruben of Brashear, MO, William Vice of Milan, MO, Lila Carden of Kirksville, Terry Vice and wife Joyce of Kirksville, Janet Young and husband Byron of Ft. Worth, TX, and Connie Clabaugh and husband John of Hastings, NE; one sister, Nancy Lockamy of Kirksville; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Bernice grew up in rural Knox County and later moved to Kirksville. She worked a short time at the International Shoe Factory. She was a homemaker and raised her children. Later in live she worked as a clerk for the city of Gibbs.
She was a member of the Kirksville Church of the Nazarene. She loved gardening, canning and her church.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery north of Baring, MO.
Memorials in memory of Bernice are suggested to the Kirksville Church of the Nazarene.
