Betty Lewis 76, passed away Monday (June 25, 2018) at her home in Queen City.
The daughter of Riley and Melissa (Eilders) Sapp she was born January 10, 1942, in rural Queen City. She grew up and attended school in rural Queen City and the Queen City High School.
On January 26, 1959, she was united in marriage to Russell (Junior) Lewis who survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Sandi Aldridge and Karen Lewis, Grandchildren Shane Aldridge, Adam Aldridge, Autumn Eagleshield, and Amber Eagleshield, Great Grandchildren Angelica Aldridge,Victoria Aldridge, Troy Aldridge, Shane Andrew Aldridge, Blossom Eagleshield, and Mangas Eagleshield. She is also survived by a brother Richard Sapp, sister Edna Veatch and several nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Jason Aldridge, seven brothers; John, Jim, Paul, Bob, Larry, Ronnie, and Gordon Sapp, and a sister Mary Bellamy.
Betty loved the farm where she and Junior lived until just the last few years. She was a very hard worker, a great cook, and always had plenty to eat for anyone who stopped by. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be truly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday (June 28, 2018) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bushnell officiating. Bural will be in the Queen City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Aldridge,Shane Aldridge, Micheal Robeson, Ashley Robeson, Selby Lusher, and Randy Sapp
Honorary bearers will be Grandchildren, Murl Lusher, and Carl and Carol Raine
Visitation will beWednesday (June 27, 2018) after noon with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Mo. 63561.
