Beulah Housman, 106 of Brashear passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Kirksville Manor Care.
The daughter of John and Dorothy (Sullivan) Ross, she was born January 11, 1916 in Brashear, Missouri. In 1935 in Fort Collins, Colorado she married Leonard Housman and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Housman; three brothers and one sister.
Beulah is survived by one son, Leonard “Fred” Housman of Brashear, Missouri; two grandsons, Duane (Lori) Housman of Brashear, MO and Casey (Sabrina) Housman of St. Joseph, MO; five great grandchildren, Hayden Housman, Skylar Housman, Garrett Housman, Avery Housman and Hudson Housman; and several nieces and nephews.
Beulah grew up in Brashear and graduated from Brashear High School in 1933. She worked for Woolworths dime store in Great Bend, Kansas from 1957 to 1965 when they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she worked for Water Pik and Woodward Governor until she retired in 1978. Beulah and Leonard moved to Brashear in 1978.
She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, knitting and baby sitting the grandkids. She was a member of Brashear Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens of Brashear and Hurdland.
Beulah will be cremated and no service is planned.
Memorials in memory of Beulah are suggested to the Brashear R-II School and can be sent to the funeral home.
