Beverly Jane Dunkin

Beverly Dunkin, 74, of Green Castle (Putnam County), Missouri, passed away of natural causes at her home on Monday, December 27, 2021, after a brief illness.

Beverly Jane (Myers) Dunkin was born in Davenport, Iowa, on September 6, 1947, the daughter of John and Betty (Dyer) Myers. She grew up in Davenport and graduated from high school there.  She then entered nursing school where she became an LPN.  Beverly married George Dunkin on June 17, 1967.  Beverly and George lived much of their married life in Davenport where Beverly worked as a nurse in a family healthcare clinic before moving to office work at Mercy Hospital in Davenport.  They bought land in southeast Putnam County in 1986 and moved to the county when they retired in 2000.  They enjoyed the quiet outdoor life and their good neighbors.  They liked to hunt and fish.  They also liked to travel and camp, and Beverly was an avid NASCAR racing fan.  She was a quiet home body who enjoyed following family and friends on Facebook.

Beverly is survived by her husband of the home and by two sons, Joel (Jen) Dunkin of Buffalo, Iowa, and Brett (Chasity) Dunkin of Davenport, Iowa.  Her three grandchildren are Bridget Halterman, Amanda Dunkin, and Andrew Dunkin. Her two great grandchildren are McKenzie and Madison.  She is also survived by a brother, John Myers of Davenport, Iowa.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.
