Bill Miller, 90, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He had been a resident of the Care Center for a brief time.
Billy Jim Miller was born in Clarence, Missouri, on November 23, 1930, the son of Taz and Juanita (Bilbro) Miller, who preceded him in death. After graduation from high school, Bill attended business school and then began a 43-year career in the personnel department of Kansas City Power and Light, where he worked as an accountant. He married Yvonne MacLachlan in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 10, 1954, and she survives. Bill and Yvonne lived in Kansas City and Independence before retiring and moving to Lake Thunderhead in Unionville in 1991. They were active in the Unionville Christian Church where Bill served as an elder. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill was a good family man and fine Christian of great integrity.
Bill is also survived by two sons, Michael (Lisa) Miller of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Steve (RoAnn) Miller of Lubbock, Texas. Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
Bill’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes inurned next to his family at the Clarence (Missouri) Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Putnam County Care Center and may be entrusted with Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th , Unionville, Missouri, 63565.
