Billie Joanne Morris

Billie Joanne Morris, 58 of Brashear, departed her loving family unexpectedly on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

The daughter of William “Bill” & Darlene (McMurtrey) LaCore, she was born in Kirksville, MO on July 2, 1964. After graduating from Kirksville Senior High School in 1982, she married her best friend Richard “Rick” Morris at Hamilton Street Baptist Church on March 11,1983.

Billie worked hard her entire life to help provide for her family. For the last 14 years she was employed by CENVEO in Kirksville.

Her children, Natasha Morris and fiancé Richard “Joe” Hatcher, Drake and wife Krystal and her Grandchildren Isaac, Isaah, Gus, Ada and Wilo were the true loves of her life. Family was most important to her and she loved each and every one of them to the fullest.

Billie lived a full life as a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. She looked forward to spending time with her parents during their summer visits, going to yard sales, doing for others and having family gatherings. She cherished the times when her family was all together. Billie will always be loved and never forgotten by all her family and friends.

Billie is survived by her mother, Darlene of Melissa, Texas; her brother, Robert “Bobby” LaCore of Melissa, Texas; her best friend, Richard “Rick” Morris of Greentop; one daughter, Natasha Morris and fiance Richard “Joe” Hatcher of Brashear, one son, Drake Morris and wife Krystal of Kirksville, five grandchildren; Isaac, Isaah, Gus, Ada and Wilo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and fur babies.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill and four fur babies, Roxie Ann, Missy, Simone and Gizmo.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6th, 2022 with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
