Billy Dale (Bill) Fowler, 76 of Tampa, Florida, passed away on November 21, 2023, at his home in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jane Hart Fowler, his father Jerney Edwin Fowler, and two half-brothers Robert and Raymond Fowler.

Bill was born December 8, 1946, east of Unionville in the Chariton community and was the 3rd of 5 boys in the family. He attended the Wells one room school until starting high school in Unionville. Bill set the school record in the one mile run which he held until broken by his nephew Chad Fowler 28 years later. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending Mt. Hermon Church as a young boy in 1961. Hunting and fishing were his two favorite activities as a young man. After high school Bill enlisted in the Air Force Reserves and completed basic training at Lackland AFB in Texas. He lived in Kansas City for some time and worked for Reichhold Chemicals until returning to Unionville where he spent several years with the State Highway Department before purchasing the Dairy Lane with his brother Tom in 1971. He continued with the Dairy Lane until Jerry and Connie Knowles purchased it 18 years later. Bill began working with the Post Office while still operating the Dairy Lane and did both for several years. He eventually devoted full time to the Post Office until he retired. He then focused on family and golf. He enjoyed participating in social and golf activities at the Unionville Country Club for many years where he competed in and won several golf tournaments. Bill finally got his hole-in-one in Florida.  He was also an avid trapper of wild game in Missouri.

Bill and Jenifer were married in Tampa January 7, 2006, and maintained homes in both Tampa and Unionville. He enjoyed the change of seasons, playing golf, not shoveling snow, and attending ball games of his grandchildren.
