Bobbie Buster

Bobbie Buster, 82, of Martinstown, Missouri passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Bobbie Buster was born on December 21, 1936 the son of Jack and Reta (Mathes) Buster. Bobbie attended the Haynes School for 8 years before transferring and graduating from Unionville High School. Bobbie served in the US Army for 2 years and married Crystal Watt on January 26, 1963 in Kirksville, Missouri. Crystal proceeded Bobbie in death on October 9, 2013. Bobbie worked in Chicago for Burlington Truck Lines before moving to Lee Summit, Missouri where he worked for Western Electric from 1962 to 1990. There he served as a member of the Sons of the Pioneers because they were a benefit organization. They returned to Putnam County in 1990. Bobbie and Crystal became an active part of the Martinstown community and were members of the Unionville Baptist Church. In later years, Bobbie donated land for the Martinstown Volunteer Fire Department and the Martintown Church of Christ.

Bobbie wanted to share the following statement: You brought me joy in life and love in death, but we are told our journey does not end at the cemetery. Where we spend eternity is up to us. Ephesians 5:19 we are told to praise God in Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs so enjoy the hymns.

Bobbie Buster is survived by a son, Pratt Buster and wife Angela of Grain Valley, MO; grandson, Grant Buster of San Diego, CA; and great granddaughter Freya Buster. Surviving siblings are Jackie Buster, and Ann Wilcox.

In addition to his wife, Bobbie was proceeded in death by a sister Elean Kramer.

Memorials for Bobbie are suggested to the Martinstown Cemetery and may be entrusted to the Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th Street, Unionville, MO 63565.
