Carol Lee Mclin

Carol Lee McLin, 88 passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 in DeKalb, Illinois.
The daughter of Alva and Beatrice (Robinson) Truitt, she was born June 28, 1935 in Novinger, Missouri. She was married to Boon McLin and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bernard Charles Truitt and Jerry Bob Truitt; and a sister-in-law, Mary Moots.

Carol is survived by her two children, her son Mike Martin and his wife Lisa and her daughter, Teresa Martin; three grandchildren, Zachary Martin, Shelby Martin, and Briana Busche; two great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Albert McLin.

Carol graduated from Novinger High School in 1953. She worked for Thompson Flower Shop in Kirksville until moving to Illinois where she got her real estate license and beautician license. She owned a beauty shop and sold real estate. She was then a Dean’s Assistant in Illinois. She later moved back to Missouri and retired where she helped her husband with the flea markets he had in Novinger and Edina.

Carol was apart of the Full Gospel Church and in her free time enjoyed reading, solitaire, and puzzles.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Novinger Cemetery in Novinger, Missouri.
