Carolyn Mae Creek

Carolyn Mae Creek, 80 of Downing, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 20, 2023 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home.

The daughter of Jesse and Zola (Hill) Trumble, she was born May 23, 1943 in Watseka, Illinois. On March 23, 1962 in Watseka, Illinois she was united in marriage to Thomas Creek.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, Carlene Campbell and husband Michael of Eugene, MO, Allen Creek and wife Teresa of Memphis, MO and Dan Creek of Columbia, MO; six grandchildren, Daniel (Michele) Campbell of Dixon, MO, Benjamin (Haylea) Campbell of Ft. Riley, KS, Megan Creek of Kahoka, MO, Ashleigh Creek of Downing, MO, Kale Creek of Memphis, MO, and Kara Creek of Columbia, MO; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn grew up in Illinois, moving to Missouri after her marriage to Thomas. They farmed in the Downing, Missouri area where Carolyn was a homemaker and raised her children. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed bird watching, feeding the birds, her flowers, animals and the country life.

A private family service will be held and interment will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
