Charlie Cooper, 66, passed away Wednesday (July 18, 2019) at his home in Greentop, Missouri.
The son of Lee and Dorothy (Bevard) Cooper he was born August 5, 1950, in Greensburg, Missouri. He grew up in the Lancaster area and attended the Lancaster schools.
On June 30, 2012 he was united in marriage to Judy Snook who survives. He is also survived by one son Jason Cooper, one daughter Mandy Yearns, several grandchildren, two sisters; Maxine Swift of Bushnell, Illinois and Doris Paul and husband Jim of Havan, Illinois, several nieces and nephews three of whom have been very helpful during Charlies illness, Brian, Scott, and Justin Cooper
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sheldon Bevard, James Lasswell, and Larry Cooper.
He was a handyman doing odd jobs for people and was a caregiver for several people.
He was a first responder for thirty-five years.
He loved the rodeo and was active in many, winning Iowa All State Champion Bull Rider in 1970 and 1971.
Charlie loved to fish, horseback ride, and all kind of hunting including hunting for arrowheads. He also enjoyed cutting wood.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday (July 21, 2017) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Richard C. Dye Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Gray, Brian High, Dave Crawford, James Snider, Aiden Snider, and Jeb Weaver. Honorary bearers will be members of the Greentop Fire Department.
Visitation will be after noon Thursday (July 20, 2017) with the family receiving family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Mo. 63561.
