Charles Edgerton

May 12, 1960 — March 6, 2022

A generous and thoughtful Southern gentleman, Charles Walter Edgerton was born on May 12, 1960, and died on March 6, 2022. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, “Lucky Chucky” was a water savant. Known as one of Virginia Beach’s Desperados, Chuck had a storied career, from IT work to flipping houses to farming. He could fix any machine and enjoyed problem solving. Chuck never met a stranger and loved adventures—no matter how big or small. He is survived by his friend and partner, Wendy S. Miner, his siblings Angela Simpson, Jacob Edgerton, Elizabeth Edgerton, Serena Edgerton; stepmother, Dani Edgerton; Uncle Bill and Aunt Nancy Edgerton; Uncle John and Aunt Janelle Edgerton; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Edgerton and Patricia S. Edgerton. Chuck had many friends from various walks of life who thought the world of him and he of them. A celebration of life will be held in Virginia. Donations in his memory may be made to NEMO Hospice. He will be sorely missed.

Arrangements in the care of Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
