Christine Fowler, 65, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, on Saturday, August 29, 2020. She had been in declining health for several years.
Christine Annette Fowler was born in Unionville, Missouri, on May 23, 1955. She was reared in Unionville and Jefferson City and graduated from Putnam County R-1 High School in 1973. She married Wes Loughead and moved to Springfield, Missouri. They later divorced. She worked in advertising for The Springfield Business Journal for nearly twenty years before ill health caused her to resign. She also sold real estate alongside her mother.
Chris Ann enjoyed gardening, especially raising flowers. She also liked to cook and spend time with her special canine friend, Marley, who survives. Chris Ann was of the Lutheran Faith and her faith became especially important to her in her later years.
Christine is survived by her father, Billy (Jean) Fowler of Unionville, Missouri, and three sisters, Ginger (Dan) Weston of Unionville, Machelle (Troy) Grimes of Crestview, Florida, and Susan Miller of Springfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Miller, who died in January of 2020.
Graveside services for Christine will be at the Unionville Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Interment will be at the Unionville Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Unionville Cemetery and may be entrusted with Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th , Unionville, Missouri, 63565.
