Christos S. Tolias, Jr., 58, of Unionville, MO, passed away at his home on January 19, 2018, after a long-battled illness.
Chris was born on February 24, 1959, in Bridgeton, MO, the son of Christos, Sr. and Judith Tolias. On September 20, 1997, he married Alise Knight in Marshall, MO. Chris always had, and continued to hold, a “happy” disposition despite his illness. He never knew a stranger. Chris was a total outdoors guy, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was determined to hunt this past November, but barely had the strength. Chris and Alise had two daughters and he was continually amazed at their accomplishments. His girls made him very proud.
Chris’s father proceeded him in death, but he is survived by his wife of the home and two college-aged daughters, Megan and Jamie Tolias. Chris’s mother, Judith Jenning survives along with his step father, Lehman. His surviving siblings include Cathy Tolias, Mark (Cindy) Tolias, Mike (Lisa) Jennings, Sam (Anne) Jennings, Carl Tolias, Beverly (Chris) Cogan, and Charlie Jennings. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Chris was cremated per his wishes and his burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
