Clara Fay Martin

Clara Fay Martin, 87 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of George Duey and Jessie Pearl (Rockwood) Sanders, she was born March 8, 1934 in Columbia, Missouri. She was married to Moses Martin in Fulton, Missouri.

Clara is survived by her son, Danny Martin of Kirksville, MO; her daughter, Liz Garrett of Columbia, MO; five sisters, Cathy Bryant of Kirksville, MO, Norma Sanders of LaPlata, MO, Evelyn Ray of LaPlata, MO, Virginia of St. Louis, MO, and Barbara Marion of St. Louis, MO; two granddaughters, Gladys Lemire and Rozanne Funk; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and several niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, and three brothers.

Clara grew up in Kirksville and attended school in Fulton, Missouri. She was a mother and homemaker.

She enjoyed sewing, making pot holders, playing bingo and games, puzzles, and watching movies. She loved to laugh.

Clara will be cremated and no service will be held at this time.
