Coe Ann Bailey, age 82, of Kirksville, MO, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born January 11, 1935, in Centerville, IA the daughter of Floyd B. and Velma E. Shankster Bailey. She was married to David D. Conyers and to this union five children were born. Surviving are five sons, Mark Conyers of Kirksville, MO, Steve Conyers of Kirksville, MO, Mike and Sherri Conyers of Columbia, MO, David and Sherri Conyers of Kansas City, MO and Chris Conyers of Atlanta, Georgia, five grandchildren, Justin and Jessi Conyers, Columbia, MO, Josh Conyers of Columbia, MO, Cory Conyers of Kirksville, MO, Ryan Conyers of Kansas City, MO, Quinton Conyers of Kansas City, MO, two great grandchildren, Kenley and Kason Conyers of Columbia, MO, one brother, David Bailey of Springfield, MO and several nieces and nephews.

Coe Ann was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Coe Ann graduated from Kirksville Senior High School in 1952. She attended Northeast Missouri Teachers College after High School. Coe Ann worked at the Hospitals in Kirksville as a Switch Board Operator. She owned and operated “The Dukum Inn” in Kirksville for several years. Her most important job was raising her five boys. Coe Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kirksville. Coe Ann designed and made the very first Kirksville Tiger Mascot Logo on the back of the letter jacket. She loved football, flowers (especially her flower garden) and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.

Coe Ann loved spending time with all her family.

Private services and visitation will be held at the Davis-Playe-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO. Reverend Jim Pitney will officiate the services. Burial will be held in the Maple Hills Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "Kirksville Tigers Hall of Fame" .  Memorials may be left at or mailed to Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. 2100 East shepherd Ave., Kirksville, MO, 63501.
