Connie Brown 56, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday September 10, 2024, in her home in Queen City, Missouri.

The daughter of Gene and Heraldine (Riggs) Bergman she was born July 16, 1968, in Joliet, Illinois. She grew up in Symerton, Illinois and attended school in Wilmington, Illinois. 

On July 18, 1987, she was united in marriage to Stanley Brown and to this marriage, two children were born, Amanda and Stanley Jr. In March of 1997, the family moved to Queen City, Missouri.

Connie spent her days painting, making jewelry, helping her parents, and being the best mother her kids could ask for. Connie loved her family and would often reminisce about the times when she was younger and would spend so much time with her family for family meals. She loved the sound of a Harley rolling through town. 

Connie is survived by her daughter Amanda Brown of Moberly, Missouri, son Stanley Brown Jr. of Queen City, Missouri, parents Gene and Heraldine Bergman of Queen City, Mo., Friend (ex-husband) Stanley Brown Sr. of Queen City, Mo., brother Michael Bergman and wife Sherry of Symerton, Illinois, grandson Alexander Brown of Brashear, Mo., Niece Ashley Bergman of Symerton Illinois and her two children Matt Aspel and Jae Bergman, Niece Megan Minnick and husband Cody Minnick and their son Liam of Coal City Illinois, and nephew Zach Bergman of Symerton Illinois. 

Connie has several Brother and Sister in laws while married to Stanley and still considered them part of her family: Barb Wiborg, James Brown and wife Barb, Philip Brown and wife Sharon Brown, Johnny Brown, Florence Brown. All through which she has multiple nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many other Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and her dog Aspen.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Hazel Riggs and Harold and Thelma Bergman, father-in-law Hubit Brown, and Mother in law Matilda Brown, Brother in Law Paul Razunas, and sister in law Nancy Flowers, Nephew Mark Wiborg, Uncle Peach Bergman, Uncle Froggy Bergman, Aunt Geneva Yearns, Aunt Barb Janes, Aunt Betty Hatfield, Uncle Buddy Riggs, and her dogs Ivory and Ruby.

She was a baptized member of the Baptist Church in Wilmington, Illinois.

 Visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Dooley Home, Queen City, Missouri, with the family receiving family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Burkholder officiating. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Brown Sr., Stanley Brown Jr., Zach Bergman, Cody Minnick, Jim Bergman, and Marshall Banks.
