Dale Edward Rockhold

Dale Rockhold passed away Saturday evening (October 28, 2017) at his home in Glenwood, Missouri.

The son of Glen and Loeta (Sparks) Rockhold he was born May 25, 1959, in Rockford, Illinois. He grew up in the Rockford area and attended the Rockford schools.

On April 28, 1983, Dale was united in marriage to Carol Chambers. In April 1989 they moved with their family to Queen City where they lived for several years before moving to Glenwood, Missouri.

Dale worked for the City of Queen City for about a year, at the Bloomfield, Iowa Foundry for twenty years, and was a semi-truck driver for ten years. For the last four years he has been in failing health and unable to work.

He is survived by his wife Carol, his mother, a daughter Krista Sipe, three sons; Jesse Sipe and wife Jessica of Columbia, Mo., Nathan Sipe of Columbia, Mo., and Dale Rockhold Jr. of Glenwood, Mo. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Blake Pflum, Aiden Sipe Snider, Tanner Sipe, Zander Rockhold and Zoie Rockhold. Also surviving is a brother David Rockhold and wife Kathy of Iowa Falls, Iowa and four sisters; Linda Meador and husband Randy, Rosie Rockhold, Frances Elder, and Mary Jo Rockhold all of Davenport, Iowa, two special children Shelby and Michael Christman, and his dog Cujo.

Dale was preceded in death by his father and a brother Warren Lee in infancy.

He enjoyed watching care racing and loved his children and grandchildren very much.

Visitation will be Wednesday (November 1, 2017) from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in the Dooley Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Diltz officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Home Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Morris, Shawn Sparks, Jerry Aldridge, Donnie Sparks, Russell Cunningham, and Mike Sparks. Honorary Bearers will be Danny Gullion,, Billy Sparks, Donald Lee Farmer, and David Farmer.
