Darcy Ann Elliott, 69 of Kirksville died peacefully at home on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Darcy was born January 8, 1954 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to James and Hazel (Ostinson) Sturgess. She married Otto Francis Elliott on October 25, 1986 in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Darcy grew up in Buffalo, Minnesota before moving to Wichita, Kansas in 1982. She was a surgical Tech from 1979 to 1989 in Minnesota, Las Vegas, Nevada and Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Kirksville in 2011 with her husband, Otto.

She is survived by her husband, Otto; her son, Nathan Davis of Eugene, OR; six stepdaughters, Melissa Richey of Wichita, KS, Kitten (Tim) Warren of Haysville, KS, Debbie (Bob) Tucker of Wichita, KS, Cindy (Perry) Gilbert of Wichita, KS, Candy (Frank) Abernathy of Wichita, KS, and Jodie (Mike) Smith of Omaha, NE; one brother, James (Gail) Sturgess of Buffalo, MN; three nieces, Annie, Rebecca and Emily; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Sturgess; and her mother and step father, Hazel and Dale Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation.
