Darrell W. Billington

Darrell (Dick) Wayne Billington, 71 of Novinger, Missouri passed away, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home.

The son of Floyd & Dollie (Stanley) Billington Sr., he was born July 22, 1951 in Waterloo, Iowa. On October 31, 1969 he married Peggy JoAnn Ellis and they have been married 53 years this year.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Darrell Wayne Billington (Raychelle Gregory), Jesse Lee Billington (Sarah Billington) and Lisa Marie Billington; six grandchildren, Jade (Jordan) Billington, Lacy Marie Smith, Destiny (Tyler) Sullivan, Samantha (Dillion) Sullivan, Brandon Lee Billington, and Madison Marie Billington; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Eilene Weisenberger and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight brothers and sisters, Kathy, Tommy, Floyd J.R., Pearl, Ricky, Helen, Lorene and Donna.

Darrell Grew up in Missouri and Waterloo, Iowa where he attended school. He worked for John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa for several years. He moved to the Novinger area in 2001.

Darrell loved spending time with his family, enjoyed holiday dinners and many laughs. He loved all kinds of hunting including deer, coon, rabbit, ginseng, asparagus, as well as trapping. He loved spending time outdoors and constantly on the go. He enjoyed spending weekends at Rutledge and many other auctions. He spent his down time enjoying music and pulling practical jokes on anyone who would fall for it.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Morelock Cemetery in northwest Adair County.
