On Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, Dave (Davey) Thomas Roberson II, 44 years old, passed away suddenly at his home in Kirksville, Missouri. He did this just in time to meet his father Dave who passed within that same hour in Jefferson City.
Davey was born on December 11, 1976 in Paso Robles, CA, the first of 4 children born to Dave Roberson and Waynette (Coen) Mullins. He met his wife Jenny (Huff) on Memorial Day in 1998 and spent 3 months trying to get a date. On Labor Day they went on the first of many dates and were married in Tipton, MO on June 2,2001. In 2004 they welcomed Cooper (now Quinnly), 3 years later Jakob and in 3 more years, Mason.
Davey loved motorcycling, fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. He loved
nothing more than putting on a BBQ and a bonfire, inviting everyone over, getting to tell stories of past escapades and listening to others tell theirs. If you needed a meal, a place to sleep, or a ride, Davey was your man.
Davey is survived by his wife Jenny, sons, Quinnly, Jakob, and Mason, all of Kirksville, MO. His
mother Waynette and step dad Jerry Mullins, his sister Stephanie Hilt and her husband Will, his brother Guy, and his brother William and his partner Erin, his step-mother Sanda Roberson, his step-brother Lonnie Fields and wife Melissa, step-sister Jodi and husband Jonathan Weaver, all of the Versailles area; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Aunt Shirley, who no doubt made spaghetti and German Chocolate Cake for his and his dad's arrival; his paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, and step grandparents.
A BBQ and bonfire celebration will be scheduled for next summer. That's what he wanted more than anything, to feed everyone, listen to good music, laugh, and love.
