David Thomas Breuer, 80 passed on to glory, Thursday (April 18, 2019) in Columbia with his wife and son by his side.
The son of Casper H. and Evelyn Roth Breuer, he was born February 7, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri. On December 30th, 1972 in Kirksville, Missouri he was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Viola Fleshman. To this marriage one son was born.
David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Viola; his son, Tom (Kristen) Breuer; and five grandchildren, Anna, Keller and Aspen Breuer, Aubriana and Isaiah Meinen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jay and his wife Lynn; his in-laws, Dennis and Jo Fleshman; sisters-in-law, Vesta Fleshman and Betty Tyson; and brother-in-law, Dennis J. Fleshman.
David grew up in the Spanish Lake area in St. Louis County and graduated from Hazelwood High School in 1956. He served in the Army Reserves for five years. He farmed all his life with his brother and in 1969 they purchased land east of Kirksville and farmed and raised cattle until his death. He loved his animals and Cardinal Baseball.
David attended First Baptist Church in Kirksville and loved his Lord.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday (April 22, 2019) with a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.
Memorials in memory of David are suggested to American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church.
