David Ray Robbins age 68, passed away Thursday (November 30, 2017) at his home with family and friends under the care of Hospice.
David Robbins was born July 16, 1949 in DesMoines, Iowa the son of Labe Levi and Ruth Margaret (Thompson) Robbins. David grew up in Worthington, MO. He attended the Worthington elementary school and graduated from high School in 1968. David married Janet Anders in 1968 and to this union one son was born, Curtis Levi Robbins who survives.
He was drafted into the Army in March of 1969. After basic training he was sent to Fairbanks Alaska, later he was sent to Vietnam and Korea. David was very proud to have served his country.
David later married Lisa Davidson and to this union four sons were born David Ray Robbins, Jr, Sherman Robbins, Jonathan Robbins and Shane Robbins. David leaves behind a friend and companion Rhonda Breden and her daughter Renae Breden. He is survived one sister Margaret Gregory three brothers Joe Robbins and wife Giorge Ann, Edward Robbins and Sandy, Labe (Junior) Robbins and Marie several grandchildren , nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lisa, sister JoAnne Clark, Sister in law Hallie Robbins and brother in law Wayne Gregory.
David will be forever in the presence of our Lord. He attended the Gospel Outreach Church in Kirksville.
Funeral service will be held at the Dooley Funeral Home on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Norman Keller officiating. Interment will be the Pleasant Home cemetery.
