Doyle Shriver

Doyle Shriver, 85, of Powersville, MO passed away at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA on Sunday, August 25, 2019.
Doyle Shriver was born on the Shriver family farm in Powersville, MO on February 21, 1934 the son of Orin and Myrtle (Reed) Shriver. Even though truck driving was in his heart, Doyle had a home front in Powersville where he loved the coffee shop talk with his buddies. Doyle helped plan the “Shriver” get-togethers and loved his time visiting and catching up with family. Doyle was also baptized at a young age.
Doyle Shriver is survived by children, Ruby Carey, Robin Beland, Ronnie Farrell, and step children, Donnie Ogle, Patty Anderson, Debbie Shirk, Sharon Rollins, and Denise Huizenga. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Shirley Rea, Cheryl Minear, Orin Ray Jr., Wesley Shriver: step sons, Steven Shriver and Ronnie Ogle: and step grandson Jerry Rollins.
Graveside services for Doyle Shriver will be at the Powersville Cemetery, Powersville, MO, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 29, 2019. There will be no visitation.
Memorials for Doyle are suggested to the Somerset Community Hall and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
