Edith Kay Solomon

Edith Solomon, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri. The daughter of Boyd Emanuel and Opal Glayes Adams Galaspie, she was born August 27, 1941 in Novelty, MO. Edith grew up in the Sidney area and attended school in Sidney. 

Edith was united in marriage to Albert Earl Solomon in 1956 and they lived in Schuyler County. She worked at Twin Pines for twenty-five years and then did a paper route for the Kirksville Crier for a long time.

Edith is survived by sons Dean Solomon and wife Carol, Leon Solomon and wife Brenda, two daughters Pam Gregory and Becky Lusher and husband Dee, grandchildren Dakota and Shyann Solomon, Derek, Aliza, Katilyn and Justin Gregory, Paul DeeDee, Kendra-Florence-Maybelle, Dalton Lusher and Mandy Martin. Also several great grand children and sister Marilyn Haines. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rose Mary Love, and sister Marge Edwards. 

Edith enjoyed gardening, canning, and helping people. She was one of the most caring and giving people you could know. She loved to watch and study birds.

Edith will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
