Eva Lee (Gillaspie) Elzey, 84 of Yuma, AZ (formally Queen City) passed away Tuesday (August 6th, 2024) in Yuma, Az.

The daughter of Albert Lee & Eva Anna Morris, Eva was born December 27th, 1939 in Muscatine, IA. On June 30th, 1957 in Kirksville, MO, Eva married Robert “Bob” Gillaspie who preceded her in death in 1995. Later she married Jerry Elzey in March of 1997 who also preceded her in death.

Eva is survived by her Daughter, Julie Tordsen and husband Gary; Step-sons, Mike Elzey and wife Tonya, Jeff Elzey and wife Sherri; Step Daughter, Alane Magana; 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great- Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, Jerry, son Randy Gillaspie, and several other family members.

Eva was born in Muscatine and continually moved throughout her childhood until her family settled in Queen City, MO where she met Bob. There they raised two children, Randy and Julie. Eva and Bob moved to Arizona in 1978 where she lived until her death. She was a former member of the Queen City Christian Church and current member of the Yuma First Christian Church. She was very proud of her degree as a licensed practical nurse. 

A Graveside service will be Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Tarr Cemetery West of Queen City, MO.
