Faaron Stansberry

Faaron Stansberry, 55 of Columbia, MO passed away Monday (December 18, 2017) at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.

The son of Richard C. and Mary Catherine (Reeves) Stansberry, he was born October 11, 1962 in Kirksville, MO. Faaron grew up as a military child moving around while his father was serving in the military. They moved to Brashear, MO when he was in the 3rd grade. He attended Brashear Schools until he entered the U.S. Army at the age of 16, serving for two years. In 1990 he married Karla Mountain and to this union three children were born. He worked in construction and carpentry for several years. He was currently working in maintenance at the VA Hospital in Columbia, MO. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and arrowheads.

Faaron is survived by his mother, Mary; his children, Dillon Stansberry of Columbia, MO, Darien Stansberry of Kirksville and Darcy Stansberry of Maryville, MO; three brothers, Rick Stansberry of Ligonier, IN, Ron (Brenda) Stansberry of Edina, MO, and Bruce Stansberry of Loxley, Al; one sister, Susan (Ron) Rogers of Poplar Bluff, MO; his ex-wife and friend, Karla Stansberry of Kirksville; and numerous aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 21, 2017) at the funeral home with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Park View Memorial Gardens.
