Freddie P. Glaspie

Freddie P. Glaspie, 87 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Kirksville Manor Care.

The son of Joseph and Elsie (Hedrick) Glaspie, he was born November 28, 1933 in Worthington, Missouri. On September 8, 1958 in Kirksville, he married Betty J. Tines.

Freddie is survived by two sons, Alva Glaspie and Steven Glaspie of Kirksville; two daughters, Elsie Glaspie of Kirksville and Paula Glaspie of Eldorado, AR; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; one son, Danny Paul Glaspie; and seven brothers and sisters, Hilda, Martin, Wanda, Clifford, Lizzie, Lyle and Helen.

Freddie worked at Harvey Rogers Coal Company. He loved hunting, fishing and country music.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Forrest Llewellyn Cemetery.
