George Leon Stufflebean, 66 of Kirksville died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
George was born January 1, 1951 in Anchorage, Alaska. He moved around a lot as a child, being his dad was in the Military. His family settled down in Unionville, Missouri. As an adult, George worked as a Respiratory Therapist and then later became a CNA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lucille Breeding; step father, Benjamin Breeding; his father, Connie Roy Stufflebean; and a brother, David Stufflebean.
George is survived by his wife, Becky Stufflebean of Kirksville; his sister, Neita Collins of Osage Beach, MO; one son, Brett Stufflebean and wife Kim of Brookfield, MO; one daughter, Elizabeth Shottenkirk of Brookfield, MO; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Gabe) Vire, Adam Stufflebean, Abigail Stufflebean, Landon Stufflebean, and Nathaniel Shottenkirk; great grandson, Aiden Vire; and several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
George was a lover of music and art. His passion was playing the guitar and spending time with his family and friends. He was always smiling and laughing when the grandchildren were around. He loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
