Gloria Ann Trammel

Gloria Trammel, 87, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Gloria Ann (Parker) Trammel was born in Neponset, Illinois, on December 14, 1934, the daughter of Marshall and Mary Geneva (McCalley) Parker.  She attended Triumph school and graduated from Unionville High School in 1952. She married Raymond Brake and to this union one child was born, Dennis.  Gloria married James Ola Trammel in Unionville on May 25, 1970.  Gloria worked on the assembly line for McGraw-Edison in Centerville, Iowa.  She loved to sew and was a wonderful seamstress, making quilts. She also made shirts for Dennis when he was young. She loved to travel and to garden.  Gloria liked to attend auctions and yard sales and she loved her family.  She knew Jesus as her personal Savior and became a member of the Graysville Freewill Baptist Church when she was young.

Gloria is survived by her son, Dennis (Lehia) Brake of Mustang, Oklahoma, and her stepdaughter, Carol (Jim) Rowan of Cincinnati, Iowa.  Her grandchildren are Jeremiah Brake and Amanda (Brad) Hogan, and her great grandchildren are Kambri, Brady, and Colby Hogan.  She is also survived by a sister, Melva Manjack of Chicago, Illinois, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ola, who passed away November 18, 2003. Her brothers Donald and Norman Parker and her sisters Mary Jane Coyne, Thelma Keene, and Pauline Glavas also preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Gloria will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 29, 2022, with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Lone Pine Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and entrusted with Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th St., Unionville, MO  63565.
