Heinlen Dean Yearns

Dean Yearns, 89, of Queen City passed away Tuesday night (March 6,2018) at his home in the Brushy Community.

The only son of Henry William and Freda Ethel (Heinlen) Yearns he was born July 26,1928.

On December 27,1952, he was united in marriage to Juanita Simmons at Memphis, Missouri. To this union two daughters were born, Audrey Linn and Janet.

Dean graduated from eighth grade at Klein Country School in 1942. He graduated from the Queen City High School with the class of 1946. In 1949 he graduated from Reisch American School of Auctioneers in Mason City, Iowa. In 1951 he graduated from 2nd Eschelon Mechanic School in Camp Chaffe, Arkansas. In 1966 he graduated from Government Farm Training School.

He spent his entire life at the same Queen City address except for the two years he served in the 43rd Armored Infantry Battalion 2nd Armored Division United States Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Dean gave bis heart to the Lord in May 1951. Dean and his wife spent twenty years plus with a home missionary organization called American Sunday School Union. He then attended the Schuyler County Church of Faith until failing health.

He is survived by his wife Juanita, his daughters Audrey Linn Johnson of Queen City and Janet McClaskey and husband Mike of Castle Pines, Colorado, his grandson Jack R. Yardley TJ, of Queen City, and a brother-in-law Roy Wieneke.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his only sister Marcella Wieneke, his son-in-law Larry Johnson, and his wife's family.
Dean authored his own book of famly stories. He and his wife spent 65 years in the green rolling hills of Schuyler County raising Columbia sheep, Angus cattle and enjoyed life very much.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday (March 10, 2018) in the Dooley Funeral with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial will be in the Germania Cemetery with Military Rites.

Pallbearers will be Earl Dean Yearns, Dwayne Yearns, Darrel Yearns, Timmy Yearns, Curtis Sidwell, and Mark Starbuck. Honorary bearers will be Russell Bushnell, David Barker, and Don Sidwell.

Visitation will be Friday (March 9,2018) after noon with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO 63561.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
