Holly Hydorn, 20, of Unionville, Missouri, died on Saturday, March 26, 2022, as a result of injuries in a two-vehicle automobile accident in rural Putnam County, Missouri.
Holly Daniell Hydorn was born in Quincy, Illinois, on January 21, 2002, the daughter of Shawn and Shelly (Hooten) Hydorn. Holly was delivered by Dr. Jeff Davis, high school friend of Shawn. Holly moved to Unionville with her family when she was in the third grade. She had accepted Christ as Savior and been baptized at an early age. She participated in 4-H where she enjoyed crafts and learning to show cattle. Holly graduated from Putnam County R-1 High School in 2020 where she was involved in FFA, DECCA, and the advertising class. She has shown shorthorn cattle at the Putnam County fair since 2017. Holly loved farm life including her cattle and Allis-Chalmers tractors. She liked to paint and do crafts; she had been accepted at the Kansas City Art Institute but didn’t think she would like the big city. And Holly had sort of a shoe fetish. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a great laugh. Holly touched many lives and was known by some of her friends as “a child of God.” Holly was very personable and cared for others, especially young children. She attended online classes with the University of New Hampshire after high school. She also worked at Hy-Vee, 7 th Heaven, and had been the assistant office manager at Putnam County Title since August of 2021. She was very patriotic and a member of the Omaha Baptist Church.
Holly is survived by her Mom and Dad, her sister, Elizabeth Hydorn of Austin, TX; and her brother, Hunter Hydorn of the home. She is also survived by maternal grandparents Joe and Sue Hooten of Windsor, Missouri, and paternal grandparents Les and Joyce Hydorn of Unionville. Her maternal uncle and aunts are Terry (Stuffy) Hotten and their children Bryan and Kayla; Cherry Hooten and her children Catherine and William; and Kimberly (Nathan) Dueschle and their children Mariah and Calab; her paternal aunts are Tracy (Mark) Meinecke and their children Taylor, Tori, and Tyler; and Tiffany (Danny) Trent and their children Ian and Treyton.
