Isabell Rose Garrison

Isabell Rose Garrison, 96, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 7, 2000 at Kirksville Manor Care.

The daughter of William Laughlin Nolan and Rose Isabell Kartes was born August 22,1924 in Big Creek Township, Oscoda County, Michigan.

Isabell is survived by her children; Jean Elizabeth Van Gorkum of California, John Kenneth Young (Barbara) of Florida, James Robert Young (Sheila) of Michigan, Sheila Renee Jones (Benjamin) and Wesley Albert Garrison of Missouri. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Jane Dunham; three brothers Edward, Daniel and John Nolan; three fathers of her children: Kenneth Young, Clive Buckley and James Garrison; one daughter, Judith Ann Ray and one son, Harlan James Garrison.

Isabell grew up in Oscoda County, Michigan and worked in the factory during World War II. She enjoyed reading her Bible and cookbooks, working wordsearch puzzles and playing with her pets and grandchildren.

Isabell will be buried in Big Creek Township Cemetery in Luzerne, Michigan

Arrangements are in the care of Davis-Playle-Hudson--Rimer Funeral Home of Kirksville and Lashley Funeral Home of Mio, Michigan.
