Jack Flynn

Jack Lee Flynn, 76, passed away Tuesday morning (July 9, 2019) in the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City where he had resided for the last few years.

The son of Guy and Bernice (Ayers) Flynn he was born February 6, 1943. He attended rural schools in Schuyler County.
In 1981 he was united in marriage to Terri Hettinger and to this marriage three children were born; Richard Lee, Debra Jean, and Tina Diana.

Jack worked at the Saw Mill in Glenwood for Don Simmons, he also worked at picking up hay and many other odd jobs.
He lived in Kirksville until moving to the Nursing Home.

Jack is survived by his daughters, brother Keith Flynn, of Kingston OK, five sisters; Shirley Morrow of Graysville, MO, Donna and husband Leroy Yoakum of Kirksville, MO, Carolyn Rude of Kirksville, MO, Nancy and husband Danny Buford of Downing, MO, and Marilyn Kinney of Green Castle, MO. He is also survived by twenty nine nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his one day old son, Richard Lee, brother Wayne Dean Flynn, sisters Lois Glaspie and Imogene Williams, and twin brother and sister Betty and Bobby who died at birth. He is also preceded by a sister in law Violet (Williams) Flynn, and two brothers in law, Richard Kinney and Jerry Williams.

Jack liked to be around friends and family. He was very active at the Nursing Home, talked to everyone and participated in all activities. He never knew a stranger.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (July 13, 2019) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bushnell officiating. Burial will be in the Jimtown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Garr, Kenny Branscom, Anthony Kinney, Billy Williams, Micheal Williams, and Don Walitshek. Honorary bearers will be Keith Flynn and Roger Williams.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday (July 13, 2019) in the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO 63561.
