James L. Person

James L. Person, 67 of Brashear, Missouri passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at the LaPlata Nursing Home.

James was the middle of three boys of Bill Eugene and Dorothy Jean (Kirkpatrick) Person, he was born October 6, 1954 in Kirksville, Missouri. He grew up in Brashear and graduated from the Brashear High School in 1973. He loved Cardinal Baseball, and enjoyed collecting M&M figurines and traveling. He enjoyed going to Willowbend and seeing his friends. He had a knack for knowing everyone and remembering their birthdays. He always had a smile on his face. He grew up in and attended the Brashear Community Bible Church.

James is survived by one sister, Kathy (Richard) Gonnerman of Hurdland, MO; two nieces, Sarah Gonnerman of Hurdland, MO, and Michelle (Gabe) Flores of Augusta, GA, one nephew, Tracy Person of Mooresville, NC; one great niece, Madison Gonnerman; three great nephews, Tracy Person Jr., Tanner Gonnerman, and Hunter Griffin; three uncles, Donald Person of Gibbs, MO, William “Doug” Kirkpatrick of LaPlata, MO and Bobby Kirkpatrick of Brashear, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Terry and Mike; and his grandmothers, Alta Kirkpatrick and Ethel Person.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.

Memorials in memory of James are suggested to the Brashear Community Bible Church or Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
